Surgical Clippers

MEDICLIP® SURGICAL CLIPPER SET-UP GUIDE

CHARGING

STEP 1: Initial- Your MediClip clipper comes initially charged, but it is recommended that it be charged for 10 hours prior to first use.

Charging- When not in use and after each use, store the clipper in the charging base. There is no risk of overcharging. A 10-hour charge will provide 60 minutes of run time.

BLADE SELECTIONC

STEP 2: DYND70845: For coarse hair applications, such as neurosurgery or craniotomies. (green in color)

DYND70850: For most body clipping applications, including groin area and chest. (blue in color)

DYND70851: Close shave attachment for stubble-free results reduces the risk of nicking, which is often caused by razors. Can be used as a follow-up to DYND70845 and DYND70850 or on face. (black in color)

ATTACHING/REMOVING

STEP 3: Attach: Fit ‘n Click - After opening the package, make sure to line up the “1 Fit” with the “1” on the clipper handle and fit the blade on the handle. Then line up the “2 Click” with the “2” on the clipper handle. Push the blade on until you hear a click.

Release - With thumb and index finger, release the blade into an appropriate container by depressing the two side release buttons.

CLIPPING

STEP 4: Position the underside of the clipper blade flat against the patient's skin. Gently push the clipper forward against the hair on the skin, always at a 30-40 degree angle. Never raise angle higher than 40 degrees when clipping. Pull the skin taut for best performance. Stubble will remain after clipping as an indication that the skin was not contacted by the top oscillating blade, reducing the potential for minor nicks and cuts.

CLEANING

STEP 5: Rinse - In the “off” position, hold the clipper under warm, running water. Wipe dry.

Disinfecting - The clipper body can be disinfected by wiping with a noncorrosive cleaning agent such as isopropyl alcohol.

STORAGE

STEP 6: Table Mount - MediClip can be stored in the charging base sitting upright on a table or counter.

Wall Mount - MediClip can also be stored in the charging base mounted on a wall using the wall plate and two screws provided.
